When the AI gets stuck

Vibe coding cleanup, without starting over

The app is 80% done and every new prompt breaks something. We find out why the AI keeps going in circles, show you what to untangle first, and guide you through it one change at a time.

Signs your codebase needs cleaning up

Fixes that undo other fixes

You fix the login and the dashboard breaks. You fix the dashboard and the login breaks again.

The AI forgets how the app works

Files are so long and so tangled that the tool can't hold them in context, so it guesses.

Auth that works sometimes

Users get logged out at random, or sessions work locally and fail in production.

Data in the wrong shape

The same thing stored three ways in three tables, and the UI has to stitch it together.

Packages you don't remember adding

Two UI libraries, three state managers, and a build that takes minutes.

You're scared to touch it

The app makes money, or will soon, and you don't know which change will take it down.

How we untangle it

  1. 01

    Architecture review

We map how the app actually works today and find the few places causing most of the pain.

  2. 02

    A plan in small steps

A list of changes, in order, each small enough to make with your AI tool and check before moving on.

  3. 03

    Review each step

Send each change for review. We catch it if a cleanup step breaks something before it reaches users.

How to fix AI-generated code

Most stuck codebases don't need a rewrite. They need a few structural fixes so the AI tool can work with the code again. In our experience it's usually some mix of these:

  • One place for auth logic, instead of checks scattered across components
  • One data access layer, so queries and permissions live together
  • Smaller files, so the AI can see a whole unit at once
  • A cleaned-up database schema with the duplicate fields removed
  • Removing the libraries that do the same job twice

Rewrite or fix?

Sometimes a rewrite is the right call. If the backend is built on something that won't hold real users, it's cheaper to rebuild that part than keep patching. We'll tell you honestly, and if you do rebuild, we'll review the new version as you go. Most of the time though, the frontend is fine and the mess is in a few backend files.
